Roof Insurance Claims Assistance
Call us first!
We can help you through the roof insurance process
Severe weather can cause devastating damage to your roof.
In the worst cases – hail, wind or a toppled tree may damage your roof so badly that it needs significant repairs or a complete roof replacement.
If you think you may have wind or hail damage…
Call Pro-Tech Roofing before filing a claim with your insurance company. We will perform a no obligation roof inspection to help determine whether or not you have sufficient damage in order to open a viable claim. A thorough damage assessment by Pro-Tech Roofing could save you a lot of money and hassle.
The last thing you want is a denied roof claim, as that can cause insurance rates to go up.
Note: if you’ve already spoken with an adjuster who has denied your claim (and you’re confident you have functional damage), give us a call. We’ll be happy to evaluate the roof and if needed assist you in reopening the claim for a potential better outcome.

Understanding The Claims Process
#1 Assess the damage
A thorough roof and property inspection can help identify and document claimable damage. Our seasoned roof inspectors have years of experience identifying hail and wind damage. We’ve worked with many different insurance companies and know what most adjusters look for.
#2 File a claim
After receiving our assessment of damage to your roof, you may choose to file a claim with your homeowners insurance company.
#3 Claims adjustment
The insurance company will send out a claims adjuster to inspect the roof and determine the value of your claim. Pro-Tech Roofing will meet with the insurance adjuster onsite to assist with documentation of damage and valuation of project requirements to restore the roof.
#4 Insurance company approval
Upon approval of the claim, your insurance company will provide you a check that you will provide (along with your deductible) to the Pro-Tech Roofing to initiate the repair or replacement process.
#5 Repairs or replacement completed
Pro-Tech Roofing will go to work on the job completing repairs or replacement with quality materials and craftsmanship.
#6 Finishing the process
After work has been completed, we will submit a final invoice to the insurance company. The insurer will then release the remainder of the funds for the roofing job, which you will forward to Pro-Tech Roofing.
Roof Insurance Claims FAQs
Can a roofer cover the cost of my homeowners insurance deductible?
Some roofers claim they will “waive” or “absorb” the cost of your insurance deductible in the cost of your project. They may say they will “eat” the cost of the deductible or reimburse you in some fashion. While it may be tempting to avoid paying your deductible, most of these practices fall under insurance fraud and leave you open to potential liability. Make sure you work with a local and reputable roofing company who operates above board and with integrity. This will help you avoid problems and ensure a quality result.
What if the insurance company denied my claim?
If the insurance company denied your claim, but you are confident that you have functional damage on your roof, contact Pro-Tech Roofing. If we inspect your roof and find that it has damage that is commonly covered by homeowners insurance, we may suggest you request a re-inspection from your insurance company.
